Is Saint Bernardino of Siena a good example of what the catholic church expect of its followers?
Citation from Wikipedia:
"In Venice a sodomite had been tied to a column along with a barrel of pitch and brushwood and set to fire. He advised the Sienese to do the same, even if they had to burn every male in the city."
Also, this guy was the main defender of the theory that a couple, even married so, even when doing it with the purpose to have children, should avoid any pleasure while having sex. (Muy historia 21 / 2009 [I'll try to find a better source])
